How to Draw Animal Crossing-Style Characters: A Step-by-Step Guide for Kids
Animal Crossing-style characters are all about big round heads, big simple eyes, and soft rounded bodies — there's not a sharp corner anywhere, which is what makes them look so friendly.

Drawing a round villager character
- Draw the head. One big circle — bigger than you think it should be. The head is always the largest part.
- Draw the body. A smaller rounded oval below the head, slightly overlapping it.
- Add arms and feet. Two small ovals for arms, two little ovals for feet — everything stays soft and round.
- Draw the eyes. Two big ovals, taking up a large part of the face, with a tiny black pupil in each.
- Add a nose and mouth. A small triangle or oval for the nose, and a simple curved line for a smile.
- Add ears for your animal. Round ears for a bear or cat, long ovals for a rabbit, triangle ears for a fox — pick your favorite animal.
- Color it in. Soft, friendly colors, and don't forget a tiny pink blush circle on each cheek — that's the detail that makes it extra cute.
